Elections

The Elections Commission manages and conducts all elections in Brockton and maintains all election records. The Commission is responsible for voter registration and considers attaining 100 per cent voter registration one of its highest goals.

The Commission is a great place to start if you would like to run for office. In this department you can learn all the intricacies and requirements to launch your campaign. As a non-partisan resource, the Commission will help answer your questions.

Another of our important jobs is to conduct the annual census. Each year we mail you a census so we can count the residents of the city. This information helps determine our eligibility for many important programs and grants. We would especially like to improve the returns of the census. If you have any ideas on how to improve census response, please let us know. You can check the Calendar for important dates like elections, filing deadlines, and when the census will be mailed to you.

The Elections commission also handles Dog Licenses.
