BEMA

The Brockton Emergency Management Agency (BEMA) is responsible for coordinating with state and federal authorities to protect the public during disasters and emergencies. The Local Emergency Planning Committee is staffed with experienced people who have volunteered to coordinate emergency resources. BEMA helps develop plans for effective response to all hazards, trains emergency personnel, provides information to families and residents, and assists in recovery from disaster. You can learn about the role and this topic by visiting the MEMA homepage at www.state.ma.us/mema.
